Piano Tuner's Association 2026 Conference

Pianoz.com was delighted to support and sponsor the 2026 Pianoforte Tuners Association Annual Convention, held this year in Harrogate. The annual event brings together some of the most respected piano technicians, restorers, tuners, and industry professionals from across the United Kingdom, providing a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, discuss developments within the trade, and promote the highest standards of piano craftsmanship. As a long-standing supporter of piano education and technical excellence, we were proud to play a part in what was an outstanding and highly successful conference.

As part of our contribution to the event, Pianoz.com supplied a fully restored Blüthner grand piano for a regulation masterclass led by Doug Chapman, Head Technician at the Royal Academy of Music. The session attracted considerable interest from delegates, offering a rare opportunity to observe one of the country's leading technicians demonstrate the fine adjustments and regulation techniques required to achieve the highest levels of performance from a concert-quality instrument. Our Blüthner provided an ideal platform for the workshop, allowing attendees to see first-hand how precise regulation influences touch, repetition, control, and tonal consistency throughout the action.

The conference highlighted the remarkable depth of expertise that exists within the piano industry and reinforced the importance of preserving traditional skills while embracing modern techniques.
